Thank you for visiting Tynedale Family Funeral Directors.

Welcome to Tynedale Family Funeral Directors. Owned and ran by local husband and wife team Mark and Diane Cook, with their dedicated staff, who’s only aim is to provide the perfect funeral.

Before we arrange the funeral, we take into account all of your special requests and requirements and provide you with a accurate cost for the arrangements, to ensure you are happy with the commitment you are about to undertake.

Our aim at Tynedale’s is to provide  our families a genuine, honest, dignified and respectful funeral for their loved ones. We understand families have different needs and endeavor to fulfill our commitment to you.

We are now able to offer families a Direct Cremation Service, Monday to Friday 8:15am and 8:30am, no service and no attendees. Please contact us for more information.

COVID -19 – UPDATE

Please note due to the new government guidelines from 8th August 2020, a mask must be worn on our premises.

We are only allowing 2 members of family at a time to visit our chapels.

We appreciate you want to give your loved ones the best dignified farewell, we will try our level best to help you do this, but we have to abide by government rules.

South Tyneside Council have confirmed that immediate family only can attend funeral services with a maximum of 15. We appreciate that a lot of friends are unable to attend the funerals due to these guidelines and we understand this can be difficult and distressing. If you wish to leave any sympathy cards with your wishes to the family, we are quite happy to forward these on. The Crematorium can now offer a live streaming service, contact us directly for a link to any services.

Please do not be offended if our staff do not offer to shake your hand as they have been instructed not to do so.  On a lighter note elbow bumping and foot kicking are welcome but best keep it gentle.

Stay safe and lets all look after each other. Thank you from all the Tynedale Team
